Changes from last year: Golf renamed Golf GL to strengthen it's position above the new Fox. New velour interior. Diesel models dropped after a short run in the USA, but remains in Canada through 1992. The old sealed-beam headlights are dropped; now all Golfs share their front end with the GTI and Jetta. |

Wolfsburg Edition had the following: alloy wheels ("P-Slot") 16v front and rear spoiler red stripe trim, B pillar, license plate, door handle trim, headliner, and sill panels in black wheel flares 4 spoke steering wheel illuminated vanity mirror delay dome light full trunk carpeting gray/red interior trim The USA version had, in addition to the above: front ventilated and rear disc brakes 102hp KE-Jetronic engine early on, switching to 105hp Digifant II Multifunction computer sport suspension power steering body-colored power mirrors available with an automatic The USA version was exactly the same as a Jetta GLI, in fact, except that it was missing the sport seats. |
